We are the Van Egmond Family
Hi, we are Wendy, Erik, Nynke and Pim and we are here to share our adventures with our friends and family abroad. We have moved from Holland to the USA in 2017 and will be moving back to Holland in July 2021.

As we will miss our friends in Amerika very much when we have to leave, we would love to stay in touch and share with them how we build our lives in Holland. That is why I started this blog in the first place. That it will also be a nice document for later for our kids is a big bonus!

The town we will live in in Holland is called Amersfoort. The city is almost 1000 years old.

Our house in Holland would be called a Tiny house by American standards:-)

Wendy actually had a paid job before moving to the States;-)

Kids go to school the day they turn 4 in Holland.

You can buy Stroopwafels in pretty much every store in Holland.
Holland is also as flat as a Stroopwafel.

Raynham is 20.9 mi2 and Amersfoort 25 mi2. Raynham has 14.300 people and Amersfoort 157.000. That makes Amersfoort 10 more populated than Raynham.

Most women work part time after children are born. And these days some men (like Erik) work 4 days a week.
